Exclusivity Clause
Agency and client must be able to rely on each other in their business dealings. This means, among other things, that matters which one of the parties considers should be handled confidentially by the other party. This is not a controversial point. Infringements are extremely rare.

Calculation of Sales
Statements of sales shall relate solely to gross income, as shown in the Profit and Loss Account prepared in accordance with the statutory balance sheet directives. (The equivalent billings shall then, in accordance with international usage, be calculated by multiplying the gross income by 6.62).

Media Business
The Organisation of Advertisers in Brand Management (OWM) and the German Association of Advertising Agencies (GWA) presented a joint three-point agreement on transparency in media business back in 1997. Both associations have now issued a recommendation for implementing these three points, and distributed it to the large popular magazine publishers and to TV marketing agencies.

Media Charter (OMG)
The Research Charter of 2002 sets out fundamental criteria and framework conditions which, in the view of the German media agencies, should be recognised and implemented to guarantee a professional standard of research in consensual work between the market partners – media agencies, advertisers and advertising-related communication media.
